Going to the beach

Last week when we were still staying in Céret, we took an excursion to the Mediterranean. First we went to the town of Collioure to see my friend's favorite church which is built on a rock jutting into the sea. And then we drove a little further on to a town called Argelès-sur-Mer to go the Plage de Pins. We had a lot of fun! The sand at Argelès is much grainier than what we are used to. The beaches in Collioure are out and out rocks and pebbles! The Mediterranean water is cold and clear. The bank of the beach dropped off quite quickly. It was really marvelous to be at the beach and surrounded by mountains at the same time.

We lit candles for various prayer intentions.

With an altarpiece like that, it really sends the message of how amazing it is to have God dwelling in our midst! (Notre Dame des Anges)
